TEAM : Together Everyone Achieves More
MNGCC deserves to be called the "Team" . A team which has the high spirits and follows the ethics of the game in a true sense.
Have seen the team playing not just to win, but to enjoy the game in high spirits with its captain always focussed and strategizing the game to win in a best way. Folks are ream team members and play in true sense appreciating the opposition when they performed well. I can narrate 3 instances which touched me in the last match which was played on last sunday.
Firstly, I think, we have gilly in our team in the name of Nandu - He walked off when there was an appeal for caught behind stumps and he did not even wait for the signal for the umpire. It was the peak time of the match when he was blasting the opponents all across the ground and the team needed him to be present there for a win. But he did what was to be done as a true player. Hats off to you dude.
Secondly, Mr.Javed bhai - you should have been a humanitarian for displaying such an act. it was when the player from the opponents was hurt and was looking for some ice. Our javed bhai searched for the lotion which would subside the pain and got that to the player. although in this effort he lost his chair which he was occupying. and then came the statement - Kissa Kursi ka...
Thirdly, hats off to the whole team, when all the wickets were falling, instead of cribbing, they appreciated the bowler who was taking wickets for his superb spell. True sense of the sports.
Last but not least - A Captain, who motivates and involves himself into the game a lot. he is the one kind who wears 2 caps at one time - A fielder cum scorer, leg-umpire cum scorer... man you have the concentration to manage both. i am sure you can apply for ICC for scoring job during this recession where you can do the job of 2 being paid for single...
I should say, i had a wonderful time with the team. Its not just important to win, but to play it in a real sense of sports.
